White bread instead of brown

My children just told me it's the best day of the half term because I had to get white bread not wholemeal and their toaster is nicer .

Am I cruel for not normally buying it?

You're not cruel as wholemeal is better for them BUT white bread is a winner!

White bread is the god of breads... but it’s really shit and wholemeal (preferably seeded for me) feels less guilt ridden.

My ibs can't deal with wholemeal bread. I make my own white bread which we slice thick for toast. Proper butter on it too. Bought bread is tasteless now in comparison and my dc ask daily if there's fresh bread for toast. God help me if there isn't!
