My partner is going away at the weekend and I want to make some nice meals for one , but easy (no point alot of effort for one person) I am thinking definitely garlic prawns if anyone has a recipe?? (Partner hates prawns - this is my chance!!!!)
What else does everyone eat when they are by themselves?!

I like the occasional Fish and Chip Supper ,so whiz to chip shop (washed down with a diet coke !) Also pizza ,steak or a nice pie . DH on low fat diet ATM so sometimes do this when hes home as well . Enjoy chilling .Love my DH dearly, but also like watching Death In Paradise with the dog when hes out at footie every Thursday night!

I'm home alone this w/e and I'm planning to make a chicken stir fry (chicken breast, pepper, red onion, chillies, garlic, ginger, mirin, peanuts, noodles, handful of spinach).

Also the other day I made spaghetti with stuff I had in - I roasted a handful of tomatoes and stirred them with some passata, black olives, smoked bacon, garlic, and dried chillies. Then I made some pan grattato which I've never done before - fried garlic breadcrumbs with herbs - and put them on top. It was incredible.

I also do beans on toast with cheese and Worcs sauce, fried egg and bacon sarnie, and cereal/crisps when I can't be arsed. All amazing.

Followed by a hot chocolate and a Twirl bar in bed watching Netflix. And maybe a run the next day to make me feel better!

It depends on how hungry I am and what I fancy.
Sometimes I will go to the chip shop, other times I will just have a sandwich.
Other times I go to somewhere like the local carvery and have a lovely meal while reading my book.

It does depend on what I've got in.

Sometimes, I roast some tomatoes with pesto, and add a little chorizo, and eat this hot with crusty bread.

I usually have a tin of corned beef (ready sliced wouldn't do) and make corned beef hash. I'm the only one who likes this.

If I know I'll be low on stuff in the house and need to shop, I get things that the others don't eat and I do, as it's a rare occasion to be able to eat some of these things.
