Have excema in my hair. Driving me mad. Usually just get it on my back and legs.

May I have your recommendations for shampoo which might help?

Thank you

I’ve found the body shop ginger scalp care shampoo fantastic, the conditioner not so much though (it just doesn’t suit my hair).

DS gets Alphosyl shampoo on prescription. It's got coal tar in it.

DD gets clobetasol shampoo on prescription when her scalp is bad. It has a steroid in it so only need to use it to clear and then we use oilatum shampoo for day to day washes.

Polytar smells vile but works.

Day to day I use Child Farm baby shampoo and that has really helped dry skin/itching on my scalp.

DSD has severe skin Eczema (all over her body) rather than on her scalp. She currently uses Superdrug's own brand, Avocado and Manuka Honey shampoo and conditioner. It's one of the few (we've tried loads over the years) that she doesn't react to. Obviously everyone with Eczema is different but from our experience, I can't recommend it enough.

For comparison the worst we've tried was Head and Shoulders 2 in 1 (I think it was the apple version?). She used to be fine with it and then they changed the formula without warning Angry. I've never seen her skin so terrible as it was after being in contact with that stuff. She was in the shower and was (literally) screaming in pain because it was burning her Sad

Nizoral. Expensive but works.

Aveeno shampoo soothes mine

Alphosyl, expensive but also available on prescription.

My DD has excema on her scalp. Tried all sorts... the one that has worked is a cheap as chips Garner Ultimate Blends Shampoo. It's called the Delicate Soother and has rice cream and oat milk. It's £2 in Wilco! After spending ££ on every shampoo known to womankind, this shampoo is the holy grail for this house!

Thank you all. I do know that different people react differently, so you have given me a great list to work through.
