University Personal Statement

Has anyone any magic tips for University personal statements to do a masters? My daughter is doing one but as she hasn't had any luck with previous ones for placements and interviews despite her advisor saying they were good she's really in a panic. She's googled and thinks she has covered everything. Her pals have all got help with theirs from family but she's the first in our family and I've no idea how to help her, her pals are competing for the same course and aren't willing to let her see theirs, can't really blame them. Any tips or pointers would be much appreciated. TIA

Does she have a tutor now or from her undergraduate degree that she likes and could ask to have a look at it? Also talk to her university careers people, they are very committed to helping students (and graduates, she should be able to go back and ask even if she’s graduated). You might also try asking on the academics board in work? Good luck

Thanks @Fingerbobs, She’s still there so has spoken to a couple of people, they have said what she has written is good but they said that about her other statements and cvs and she ended up with poor placements. She’s sent it forward now so fingers crossed. Thanks
