So just when are people going to wake up and realise how dangerous it is? Despite the introduction of higher fines and 6 points on your licence,I still witness numerous drivers a day using a phone while behind the wheel of a car.
I travel by bus regularly, and when I am in slow moving traffic,I look out of the window and see how many drivers that are alongside the bus, sitting there with a mobile in their hand or lap. I can guarantee that out of say,15 cars,6 or 7 of them will be doing this.
But yesterday was the last straw when I saw a driver in a huge lorry, clutching a mobile when he pulled up at some traffic lights. As soon as he'd stopped,he was looking at the phone. I know that he would argue that he wasn't moving when he was looking a,but it's still illegal to use your phone at traffic lights! Oh,and another thing I only discovered today, that if you are a new driver (qualified within the last two years) and get caught, you will automatically lose your licence!
Does anyone else witness this stupidity on a daily basis? Or is it just me?
