Suppose a child is injured in a car accident for which their parent was the driver at fault. What advocacy is available to them in ensuring that they get the appropriate compensation?

The other parent should speak to a solicitor. They usually act as Litigation Friend. In reality, the action is child via LF v insurance company.

The other parent isn’t part of the picture sadly.

Another trusted adult (grandparent, aunt, uncle for eg) can act as litigation friend for the child.

Reassuring, thank you!
