Sudden dizziness

This evening I have come over feeling really unsteady and having trouble walking straight (feeling like I've had to much to drink). Also, I feel nauseous and dizzy. Any suggestions for relieving symptoms?

I still feel unsteady when I shut my eyes so that isn't helping.

Sounds like labyrinthitis, which is usually viral. Your doctor will be able to give you something to ease the dizziness.

(Not much help tonight though, sorry)

Thank you I'll ask about that

Anything effecting the inner ear. Sometimes it's an ear infection or labyrinth problems but even the common cold can cause you to feel like this if it causes the Eustachian tubes to become inflamed or blocked. I've had what I thought was an ear infection and was really my sinuses.

Last time I felt like this I was really really tired. However, it sounds more like it could be viral if you're feeling nauseous and unsteady too.

Sounds like labyrinthitis,

I thought that as well. Travel sickness tablets helped me - cheaper over the counter than on prescription too.

Also, you have to tell DVLA if it is labyrinthitis but in my experience they do nothing other than write and tell you it's not a problem to drive.

I had this when I needed my eyes testing again.

I have a problem with my Eustachian tubes and they often get blocked, making me deaf. That's never caused full on labyrinthitis symptoms though, of course it could but it doesn't for me.
