Good wooden kitchen worktops? Where from?

We have found a place that charges £900 per 4m

We have Wickes that charge £140 per 3m

Is there anywhere that's middle of the road?

Looked on DIY kitchens but I don't see how we can tell if they are any good until
They areove

Wooden worktops need lots of tlc.

Different sizes obviously, but our quartz worktop, which is a longer and wider counter, plus a piece with integrated draining board on a second side and another piece on a third side where the hob is, cost £3000.

We got ours from Worktop Express. The prices are good and they come in different sizes. Really pleased with our iroko worktop.

The saving between wood and quartz was so big that we decided that we could replace it in a few years if needed. We prefer the look of wood. It does need oiling but it's been very manageable so far.

When I lived in a house with one, it was very well treated but even so the wood started to go black after not all that long.

TheNoiseHurts · 18/02/2020 17:45

There's certain treatments that prevent that, I've done my homework.

I don't like quartz at all.

And I love the look of the workshops on the express website suggested - thank you!
