Milestone birthday’s

People talk of about midlife crises, was wondering if milestone birthday’s 30th,40th,50th make you reflect and/or panic about how your life is turning out?
I’m aware 18th and 21st are milestone birthdays but hopefully you’re not freaking out about getting old and your life turning to shit this early on in life

Well yes they make you reflect, that's part of being a milestone birthday! Why don't you start by sharing your own story on this?

@tombakersscarf coming up to my 40th in a matter of weeks and freaking out that my life has turned to shit. My career went down the drain due to ill health and parenting responsibilities, my marriage is on the rocks and I no longer feel as if there’s time to sort it all out.
Also knowing that I will never have another dc agin and having sent my youngest off to primary. I miss the toddler, nursery/kindergarten stage. I suppose I’m sad I’ll never have that again.

Cant remember my 30th, 40th or 50th

Just another day- age is what you make it

My 40s brought a lot of new things (including a new baby). View it as a beginning not an end, if at all possible.

No. I can’t get terribly excited by birthdays since I’ve been past my 21st. I may get interested again when I get to 75. Time will tell.
I’ve always had nice birthdays generally but the age is irrelevant.

I am approaching my 50th birthday and I've spent far too much time worrying about being older. However, I have also spent just as long planning a party and a family meal and a holiday to celebrate! You have to see the positive along with the negative!

I'm turning 30 this year and I could definitely get into a panic about my life right now if I let myself. But I'm trying to think of it in a more positive way, ie. a fresh start, time to turn it around and achieve all the stuff on my various lists.
