Hi, I'm looking for an easier way to give away some of the items my kids have outgrown. (They're all good quality clothes, toys, buggy etc) It's so expensive and they grow out of it so quickly.

I usually ask my family and friends to see if anyone needs it, but this usually ends with the items staying in storage for weeks/months or never being taken. I'm trying to create a system to keep our expenses low as the little one grows and reduce all the clutter in the house.

It would be amazing if there was an easy way to give away outgrown items and get my hands on some good quality 2nd hand/new(ish) items.

I'd love to hear how everyone handles this problem!

What do you do with unwanted items? Any issues doing it this way?

Are there any apps/websites you use? Pros and cons?

@bigpinkflower
Not writing for anyone, genuine questions...

I just did a 3 way bed swap with my sister and SIL, when I had my second and my 5 year old outgrew his old bed. (the swap was a challenge to say the least.) So I'm desperately trying to find alternative solutions

Have you heard of charity shops?

BlueHarry · 18/02/2020 01:02

I give stuff to charity shops, or offer to family members or friends.

@AlanRickmanFanClub

yes yes i have. But I'm looking for a community like situation, similar to what i have with my sisters... (basically swapping items we need) I'm hoping there's a website like that.

So far I've only found local facebook groups where it's still difficult to arrange things
