I think karma does exist but sometimes people die before it balances back out. What do you think?

I don't believe in karma at all. There are horrible people who I think get away with being horrible all the time.

StinkyWizleteets · 17/02/2020 22:42

Karma isn’t a banking system.

kaela1992 · 17/02/2020 22:46

I personally don't believe in karma. I am an verily cautious nice person and have been around some horrible people in my life. I don't compare life's , but some people who don't deserve anything seem to get given things on a platter and have great lives. If tomorrow they fell down a couple of stairs and broke their leg, can we really say that's karma?

ddraigygoch · 17/02/2020 22:49

No.
I know somebody who cheated on his LTP for years. A lot of years. They had children and were planning their wedding.
He left her for the OW

He's dropped the children and moved away.
They're now married and very well off and have children of their own.
They are genuinely happy and loving life.

Surely if Karma existed it would've bitten them in the arse.

MaidenMotherCrone · 17/02/2020 22:57

Yes I do. Karma applies to this life AND the next.

WhoWants2Know · 17/02/2020 23:05

I feel like it should exist.

It works in physics, where every action has an equal and opposite reaction.

So, if you are mean to people then they will avoid you and you should end up lonely and sad.

The fact that I see happy assholes running around messes with my whole understanding of reality.

Foslady · 18/02/2020 07:10

No. Because if it did my life would have been better.
I do believe that people come into your life for a reason though

stellabelle · 18/02/2020 09:21

No. I've been around for a long time , and I've seen a lot of really horrible people get away with doing nasty things, and not have any "karma" happen to them. And I've seen really nice, kind people come to grief, get disgusting illnesses, and die. The idea that "karma" exists is nothing but a fairy story designed to make people think that our actions are rewarded in kind. They are not.

HowlsMovingBungalow · 18/02/2020 09:25

Nope and I don't believe in god either.

HaudMaDug · 18/02/2020 13:30

I don't believe in Karma or any other superstitious mumbo jumbo because I have had to bare witness to some dreadful acts by dreadful people who have had no comeuppance for their actions.
As a quiet, self sufficient and helpful soul I have had the worst run of unfortunate events happen to me over and over.
If Karma is real then what F have I done to deserve this?

keepingbees · 18/02/2020 13:34

No. In fact from what I've seen the worst people seem to end up the better off in a lot of cases.

AnuvvaMuvva · 18/02/2020 13:39

No. And I believe in every other kind of thing, from astrology, right through religion, and to ghosts!

ComtesseDeSpair · 18/02/2020 13:49

No. I mean, even apart from a point of logic and reason, do you look at disabled people and think they must deserve to be disabled because they had bad karma? Because that’s essentially how it should work, isn’t it.

I believe that if you are a halfway decent, friendly, cheerful person then you’ll cultivate decency and good cheer around you and your life will go better for it. A purely human rather than superstitious effect.

maddy68 · 18/02/2020 13:49

I do believe in karma , negative energy surrounds a person and influences their decisions and who they surround themselves by.
