Contact lens disappeared

I am a new contact lens wearer. They have been going well, not problems putting in or taking out. Trouble today however is that when I went to remove them, one seems to have disappeared. Please would seasoned wearers let me know if they can fall out. I have tried to look under my lids and roll my eyeball around but I can not see or feel anything anywhere in there. Could it be tucked way under without me feeling it? Has it fallen out? Can that even happen?

It could be tucked away, but most likely you would feel it!
I have had them fall out before. Can you have a good look in your eye under upper and lower lids with a torch?

This happened to me years ago when I'd only just started wearing them. It had rolled up into the top lid of my eye. Didn't notice at first. Then I realised my sight was blurry in one eye and started rubbing it. It must have rolled up tighter as it then started making my eye water then went a bit sore. Look into a mirror with your head tipped back and lift your eyelid, see if it's in there!

Thank you for replying. I have had a good look and had others look too. Really can't see anything. Mine have a faint blue tinge to help see them so I thought it would be easy to see, especially if it folded as it looks darker blue when folded. Also if it folded, it would surely be uncomfortable. If it was still unfolded and tucked way inside, would I definitely feel it? Because I can't feel anything at all.

Panic averted!!!! Found it on my bathroom counter top. Must have popped out when I thought I had put it in. Whew. Hasn't travelled up to my brain.... (I know this can't happen)...
