Room diffusers - oils have to be water soluble?

Am I right in thinking you can't use any old essential oil in an electronic diffuser - the oils have to be water soluble?

No, you can use any oils. I bought my husband a Tisserand diffuser for Christmas, and we've been using ordinary essential oils in it.
