Anyone else just use hands?

MarthasGinYard · 15/02/2020 22:21

Blush

To Shower and bath etc?

I don't use a flannel or vile nylon, netty thing or any form of spongy, wipey type shower adornment.

I pour some shower gel on my hands.... and wash my bod with them?

Am I on my own?

It's gripping stuff eh? Grin

Hands here, but I do use a flannel with cleanser on my face.

Getoffmylilo · 15/02/2020 22:50

Handsm soap or shower gel - can't even stand the thought of a flannel!

Batqueen · 15/02/2020 22:51

Yes! Reading these other threads and it all looks far more complicated than needed!

Hands and usually soap, though I use shower gel after swimming as easier to carry.

Clean flannel every day for face. I used to use my hands but hate the water running down my arms Grin

Eco friendly body puff. Smile

I use a loofah or one of those big scrubbing brushes on my back, my skin sort of comes off in chunks if I don't scrub myself properly. (Gross I know.)

TheHagOnTheHill · 15/02/2020 22:56

Hands and soap or my fav Neil's yard body wash for special occasions or just becausa.A netty thing for feet. This gets put in the washing machine when I'm doing a quick wash when ever I remember, they last years.

Doyoumind · 15/02/2020 22:59

Hands here too as I don't like the idea of sponges or flannels but from time to time I will use something to scrub off the dead skin.

KipperTheFrog · 15/02/2020 23:00

Flannel here. Used to use a shower puff but dont like that they're plastic, cutting down on plastic use.

YourWinter · 15/02/2020 23:15

I like to use a flannel or net thing to scrub all but the delicate bits, I don't feel properly clean otherwise. Flannels and net things are hot washed twice a week and replaced regularly (old flannels then become paw-wipes for small dog).

MarthasGinYard · 15/02/2020 23:34

There's quite a few of us ....hand jobbers Grin

Hands

I was starting to feel abnormal after the flannel thread!

Carrivekeeney · 16/02/2020 00:03

Hands and shower gel but thinking of going plastic free as much as possible - any soap recommendations on here? I use the body mitt very rarely to exfoliate and then wash it, dry it and store away - don’t like too many things in the shower; less things to lift up when cleaning the shower.

MarthasGinYard · 16/02/2020 00:05

I just use dove sensitive bar in the bath

Lather up in my hands....

I notice the Holland and Barnett eco puff has terrible reviews, probably good for washing pots, but not your body.

MummySharn · 16/02/2020 01:04

I can’t use my hands it doesn’t make me feel clean enough (clearly I’m doing it wrong)

EnidButton · 16/02/2020 01:15

unless I’ve overdosed on sin and need to exfoliate.

I exfoliated last night. I do feel cleansed of my sins. Grin

MrsDoylesTeaBags · 16/02/2020 01:37

I use some exfoliating gloves and soap, but its a long time since I overdosed on sin 😞

TheTeenageYears · 16/02/2020 02:07

Hands and shower gel, haven’t used a body puff for years. I use a really small amount of shower gel and properly lather in my hands before using plus don’t have the water running whilst washing my body so can do my whole self with a very small amount of shower gel.

Recently started using bamboo face pads for cleansing/removing make-up and absolutely love them. Will not be buying any more cotton wool pads. I once read an article about Kate Middleton saying she swore by using a flannel for her face every day.

mnthrowaway202020 · 16/02/2020 02:14

I use shower gel with gloves that are slightly exfoliating from boots. I think they’re necessary to give your skin a decent clean - eg to help avoid ingrown hairs/clogged pores, to promote circulation which may aid in fading scars or blemishes a bit faster; to properly clean your body after sweating etc (I go to the gym and train hard)

I’d use my hands if I was in a rush.

You can wash gloves as normal in the washing machine if you think they’re dirty. I also replace them regularly, you can tell when they’re past it as the material will feel different.

1forAll74 · 16/02/2020 02:20

I use a sponge, one of those with a massage side on them and soap. I would never use shower gel crap,

Aridane · 16/02/2020 02:33

Hands - didn’t understand the assign for flannels on the other thread and the bafflement by posters as to how you might wash without a flannel!

Love @CherryPavlova’s typo

Seeingadistance · 16/02/2020 03:01

Hands and soap. Just hands and water on my face. Don’t wear make-up or get my face particularly grubby.

SewItGoes · 16/02/2020 03:17

I need a cloth and a puff to feel really clean.

Italiangreyhound · 16/02/2020 03:52

You are not alone.

StarlightLady · 16/02/2020 06:25

‘Prefer someone elses hands! Wink
