Cheryl on Greatest Dancer

Her eyes look really odd. I’m guessing she has coloured contact lenses in that are lighter than her natural dark brown.
But they are making her look cross eyed. She reminds me of a siamese cat.
I have always thought Cheryl to be a very attractive woman with lovely dark chocolate brown eyes, but this is making me squint to look at her tonight .

I was just thinking the same thing! Couldn't work out what was wrong with her eyes. Agree @Twospaniels, it's making me squint too.

LittleTopic · 15/02/2020 19:24

Hmm. I was actually thinking maybe some filler/Botox/eye lift? I agree she looks different.

NewYearNewJobNewHome · 15/02/2020 19:27

I thought it was Helen Flanagan at first glance!

I think it's the double-lines eyeliner and white eyeshadow/highlighter.

Whynosnowyet · 15/02/2020 20:02

Shall I watch it?
Is she worth it.....?

exWifebeginsAgainat46 · 15/02/2020 20:19

also, she’s not actually a very good dancer, if you watch her during the openers. lots of striding about and not a lot else. she’s an odd one.

FenellaMaxwell · 15/02/2020 20:20

I find her appalling dancing the most odd thing!

LuvMyBoyz · 15/02/2020 21:14

I LOVE Cheryl. The double eyeliner made her look so different (DH didn’t like it though) and I think she is great in the group dances. I look forward to the Opening dances.

However, Alisha is the most amazing as she has a 3 week old baby and when it was only 1 week old she was I the opening group dance! WTAF?

And Tondrick...what a force of nature he is!

Having lurked on mumsnet for years this thread has the honour of forcing me out to register so i can have my say!

I was reminded of poor Caroline Flack when i was reading this thread when I saw the comments descend into the usual nasty, anti Cheryl bile. Isn't she odd, what a crap dancer etc. Imagine having to live with people critiquing everything about you and finding it wanting be you Cheryl, Megan Markle or Caroline Flack and others like them. People stop the nastiness and be kind

Hoik · 15/02/2020 21:36

Alesha had her baby in October.

The auditions and call backs are filmed in August/September then the live shows start in January but it's aired as if it's concurrent which is why they made the joke in the first live show about her looking a lot different to how she did in the previous week's show (i.e., not pregnant).

JayAlfredPrufrock · 15/02/2020 21:37

Oh come on.

She’s a judge on a dancing show, a prerequisite of which should be being able to dance.

Nothing nasty there.

Hoik · 15/02/2020 21:40

It's very sad what has happened to Caroline Flack but is every thread tonight going to be shut down with a hand-wringingly pathetic "be kind"?

FenellaMaxwell · 15/02/2020 21:43

@Forcedoutoflurking Umm, right. She is a judge on a dancing show. Her role there is to judge other people based on their dancing abilities. From a purely objective and technical perspective, she is bad at dancing. But nobody is allowed to say so even though she’s there to tell other people they are good or bad at dancing? Confused

baubled · 15/02/2020 21:49

She's not bad at dancing at all- it's one thing to say she's not as good as the others but that doesn't make her bad!

AdobeWanKenobi · 15/02/2020 23:07

I saw the trailer for this the other week and it had Cheryl kind of strutting and looking for the world like she’d just shat herself. Fascinated me for the entire week it was on.

dodobookends · 15/02/2020 23:20

I naively used to think that to be a judge of anything, then you had to be an acknowledged expert, and at the very highest level of technical expertise yourself.

Turns out I was wrong. But hey-ho, it's only telly, innit?
