I’m sure they can be cooked in the oven, they just take longer that’s all

I'm sure you could cook them in the oven in a dish with a lid or wrapped up in foil. You could steam them wrapped up in something so you don't lose the butteriness.

I'd go for it, just cover so they don't dry out.

Put them in an ovenproof dish and cook in the oven

dementedpixie · 15/02/2020 18:30

Are you sure it doesnt give oven instructions too?

Are they the new potatoes with herb butter? Just take the butter out and cook as normal (steam or boil until tender), drain, put them back in the warm pan with the butter and toss them in the melted butter.

Well problem solved. Went to the pub for tea 😜 I will give it a go tomorrow though. They've got the herbs on so boiling would wash it off. I think maybe you're right though if cover them and perhaps put a bit of water in that could work.

Not if you steam them or boil them, then strain them in a sieve rather than a colander. Trust me... I don't have a microwave and have made this same error!

Got it! Thanks @goingoverground. First World problems eh? GrinWink
