Am I being lazy?

Saturday morning, just me and DS 2.5 in the house as DH is working. I'm 33 weeks pregnant and it's raining. Bit skint too as saving for the baby and have had a few birthdays to pay for. We've had breakfast but not dressed yet.

I feel like I should be getting out and doing something with DS this morning. What I really want to do is let him play with his toys and watch some TV while I get some work done on my laptop in some comfy clothes. The work is not urgent.

I feel lazy and selfish! Am i right, hive mind?

Sounds like a great wet weather day. Maybe set up an activity or play set for him and crack on.

You aren't being lazy, you are teaching him to play independently and showing him that mummies also have non DC related interests/things they do Smile

I'm still in pjs too - am going to shower and get dressed after lunch though as PILs are arriving this afternoon.

Don't go out! You'll be blown away by the storm.

I bet he's happy to play with his toys and keep warm than if you both go out and get cold/wet and miserable!

My DD(7) asks where are we going today? For ages I took it to mean that she wanted to go out but she meant it as can we stay in and I can have a mooch about with my toys.

I hope that is what you did. We all got washed as I went to Tesco and we are going out this afternoon, but they child and DH mooched and I cleaned a bit.

Definitely not lazy! I'm 31 weeks pregnant and my two kids are upstairs playing while I'm downstairs in my pjs.. This is what weekends and maternity leave are for so don't ever feel bad for relaxing! X

I've not left the house today and ds2 is still in his onesie. I've got a stinking cold, it's the first day of the holidays, he's been drawing, gaming and watching films, I've been baking, faffing around on my phone and drinking tea.
I don't feel remotely guilty and neither should you. Sometimes it's just what you need.
