Had to abandon my driving lesson due to Dennis. Its hit us hard in rural South Ayrshire .

on my part of the coat, we've had a few strong gusts from afternnon, but mostly nothing out of the ordinary. Harbour ferry will be suspended again.

just gone midnight, and central southern coast windspeeds still only around 30mph

Irritating that the nearby RAF station reports in kmh but the Met site in mph. My home station does both but is somewhat sheltered.

I'm working Sunday but the drive back home in the dark will be nerve wracking as I know many local roads are already flooded.
