Fat cow

Walking home from after school club with DD today and waiting patiently at the traffic lights.
Not looking anywhere other than the road ahead when a car goes by and a woman shouts out to me fat cow.
Yes I'm overweight and have put more weight on recently but hope once the lighter nights are here and I'm feeling a bit better to start going power walking a couple of nights a week and maybe jogging in a view to loose some weight. I will never be slim, I haven't been for years but surely it doesn't mean I have to be a target for others? I'm already feeling a bit down about the extra pounds I've put on but with one illness after another I've not be able to get any extra walking in. I held my tears in until I got home and DD had gone upstairs but that person will never know how they made me feel!!

I would’ve shouted “spiteful witch” at her.

Unbelievable isn’t it !!

AJPTaylor · 13/02/2020 19:07

Literally cannot even start to imagine why anyone could even start to think that's the thing to do.

Drogonssmile · 13/02/2020 19:36

What they all said ^^

Thanks

Well done for staying strong in front of your kids, as horrible as the experience must have been it was probably a very valuable life lesson for your kids to show them how to deal with these situations and be the better person so well done Flowers
I always feel sorry for twats like the shouter, they must have had such a shit upbringing devoid of love.
Excessive weight gain I've always viewed as a sign someone isn't or hasn't been happy due to what ever reason and therefore they have feelings and probably very deep ones. Feel proud of yourself OP Xxx

This has happened to me even when I wasn't particularly big (about 12stone). Have a wee cry and put it behind you. Maybe picture her if you decide to use a punchbag down the gym!

dappledsunshine · 13/02/2020 20:21

I'm so sorry op what a horrible horrible woman.

People like that are not worth the headspace, if she hadn't commented on your weight she would've found something else, that's just how these pathetic people get their kicks Thanks

namechangerblob · 13/02/2020 20:23

OP, you are worth every bit as much as you are today as if you lost weight. The people who are saying 'you can lose weight, she will always be a nasty piece of work' have their hearts in the right place but the truth is you don't need to do that to be a better human being in any way, which is the implication. What a vile person she must be.

GroggyLegs · 13/02/2020 20:33

OP, picking up on your comment about getting back into exercise, I can promise for every twat who shouts something when you're running/power walking there will be 10 people who see you and think something like:

Good on you!
God, I really should do some exercise.
I might go for a run when I get home.
I wonder if I could try running?
Ooh I like her running tights.
Even my kids shout 'you can do it!' at random runners (windows closed - no actual shouting at people).

I genuinely feel a real burst of emotion when I see people (like me) who don't necessarily look like natural runners. Im absolutely willing them on 100% and have such admiration for anyone getting out there & working on their health.

Please don't let these sad, hollow fuckers stop you doing a single damn thing.

BuzzShitbagBobbly · 13/02/2020 20:49

That's awful OP.

Pity her. Pity her pointless, mean little life where she has nothing in it apart from spiteful comments to complete strangers.

Pity her the fact it is so devoid of warmth and love that she has to get her kicks yelling out of moving cars.

Just pity her because she is the breathing definition of pitiful. Sad little woman.

Meanwhile you have love and aims and a life to be getting on with. Who's the biggest loser out fo you both?

NewNameGuy · 13/02/2020 21:21

What a bitch

I remember vividly walking through town about 21 years old, chubby guy, and some probably 16 year old girls shouting that I had bigger tits than them.

No answer to that really
