DS keeps sleeping by baby gate

Hello,

We moved DS into a bed from a cot on Sunday. He was really excited the first night and slept in his bed.

However the last few nights he has fallen asleep by the baby gate.

He messes about in his room when we put him to bed so we leave the room. He shouts out for a couple minutes not crying and then goes to sleep.

Tonight he pulled his bedding over to the gate, the night before he just slept on the floor.

Is there anything we should do or will he eventually stay in his bed

My son used to do this many years ago then started climbing over the gate with his pillow and we would find him asleep down the side of our bed. He didn’t do it for long. We just used to pick him up and put him back in his bed.

This has reminded me that my brother used to do the same! In fact, he often slept on the floor all the way through childhood and sometimes in some quite strange places. He's now 30 and I assume sleeps in his own bed. I'd just pick up, put to bed and not make a massive deal of it.
