I used to like wax lyrical lemon
But it now has hardly any scent
They must have changed the ingredients

Aldi Fig is absolutely amazing. Not too sweet.

barrelohflaughs · 12/02/2020 16:42

I use the ones from Aldi, the Lime, basil and mandarin one. It isn’t too overpowering and lasts for a while too. I’m almost down to the last drop in one and it smells just as good as it did the first day. They’re cheap too!

The wax lyrical destinations range is beautiful. I always imagine diffusers a bit chemical like but these are more like a subtle perfume. They've always done them at Dunelm but last time I went they were all reduced... hoping they're not discontinued!

Jo malone lime , basil and mandarin here. Smells so good and lasts for ages. Bit pricey though so I'm intrigued by the aldi version mentioned above. Is it comparable?

I love the Jo Malone diffusers
The Aldi ones gave me a headache

Next Antigua is really nice and they sell in in 400ml for £24 - lasts me at least 3 months....definitely my favourite. Also like Aldi No 3 ( pomegranate) and no 1 ( lime, basil, mandarin) .

Lily flame, fairy dust scent. Lasts for ages and smells divine

ItsJustTheOneSwanActually · 12/02/2020 17:15

White company ones are lovely.

GuyFawkesDay · 12/02/2020 17:16

St Eval sea salt or their mint and rosemary

Price's signature range tonka and pink pepper

The absolute best wax melts are from Walmart, the "Scentsationals" and "Better Homes And Gardens" brands. Yankee candle are rubbish and insipid compared to them. That said, at the weekend I found a brand called "Goose Creek" here in the U.K. and they're just as good. You can get a limited "Scentsationals" range in Asda too. The absolute best candles of all though are from Bath and Body Works in the U.S.

Favourite scents are Orange Butter Icing by Better Homes And Gardens, Coconut Vacay by Scentsationals and warm buttered bread by Village Candles. Their other scents aren't that good though. Also rather partial to the Parma Violets candle by Lily Flame. You can get that in Waitrose. I love wax melts and candles and spend ages perusing them in shops much to the impatience of my two teens.

Another vote here for Next Antigua. The scent lasts for ages.

I haven't tried the Jo Malone diffuser but I do use a variety of their other LB&M products such as shampoo and perfume; compared to Aldi's versions, the scent of basil is stronger in Jo Malone whereas the Aldi version is sweeter/fruitier

Eve Taylor wild fig and grape. Not cheap, but can really smell it, and has lasted for months.
