Sistema have really annoyed me!

I know this is minor but I must vent! We have a selection of sistema twist top bottles for the kids to take to school. We have about six because the kids often leave them at school and we need extra in the summer. We have them in a couple of sizes but all the lids are identical so we don't have to hunt in the drawer for the right lid for the bottle. This was all great until last week we bought a new one. The neck is slightly bigger than all the others and the lid is slightly bigger too so it won't fit on all the old bottles! But it's only about 2mm difference so it's impossible to tell quickly. Why have they done this? Do sistema hate me?

Don't tell me this - We are the same and I have just today ordered a few more bottles mainly for the lids as some of ours were a bit chewed. Will be really annoying if they don't fit.

We have a similar problem, ds has two plastic lunchboxes made by sistema that come with a flat square drink bottle that fits perfectly in a compartment. Both bottles over time have broken on the lid and I cannot buy replacements so now I have to send DS in with a separate bottle because none fit inside the lunchbox compartments.

It would be so much easier if they looked different but they're identical other than a 2mm size difference. Why would you do that???

Sistema were great a few years back and sent me a load of the twistNsip bottle tops for free after I emailed them. They now do a spares service so you don't need to buy any full bottle sets just to get replacement lids.

@BornInAThunderstorm I have one those bottles - barely used - in our case, the box broke, not the bottle. Happy to send it to you for postage cost only.

Just a reminder to give the tops a really thorough clean in boiling water. There were articles in the press a few years ago saying how these pop up and twist type tops were a magnet for bacteria after a Dad took a sharp knife and disassembled the top to find it was covered in black mould inside.

I have about 8 Systema Hydrate Twist n Sip bottles with no lids because the lids twist system ( the whole point of buying a Twist n Sip model ) has failed.
I wrote to Systema before at their Southern Hemisphere headquarters about this issue but to no avail.
There is a design flaw.
One minute it's working perfectly and the next it doesn't work at all.
I find them handy bottles and they're BPA free.
You say they now sell spare lids @FloopDeLaPoop. Thanks for that information. I'm having to buy new bottles just for the lid.
Fingers crossed I can buy spare lids.
