Ridiculous things you say sorry for...

Yesterday my dog got barked at by two other dogs as I walked past them in the street with their owner. I, for reasons I cannot explain, apologised. So basically I apologised for walking past someone in the street with my dog.

On the same day someone bumped into me at a checkout as they were stood way too close and piling up their shopping. I then said sorry 😐 so basically I spend most of my days apologising for stuff that I have no need to. Is this only me or does anyone else have 'Sorryitus' where they keep apologising for stuff that's not their fault. I'm getting that bad that I think if I got mugged I'd apologise for not having a nice enough phone or watch Confused

I apologised for bleeding the other day after a doctor had stuck a needle into my forehead!

My DH tells me off for apologising so much. If someone bumps into me I apologise. In hospital, struggling to speak after a stroke, and I was still trying to apologise to the staff for being an inconvenience! I'm trying hard to stop saying sorry when I don't have anything to apologise for.

I've just messaged a man who has recently ghosted me to apologise for whatever it is I did to make him ghost me - I have zero idea what that was Confused

Walking into things - apologising to an open cupboard door when I crash into it is an every day occurrence for me!

Passing my son's teacher his lunch box, she dropped it as she was taking it and I apologised.

HulksPurplePanties · 11/02/2020 17:33

I'm Canadian. We literally had to pass laws saying a person saying sorry is not an admission of guilt.

StarlightLady · 11/02/2020 18:07

I said sorry to another woman who trod on my foot. Doh!

shinynewapple2020 · 11/02/2020 18:10
