I bought a box of posh chocolates as a last minute extra Christmas present for my DP. I remember that they definitely made it home with me as she popped in to see me (we don’t live together) that afternoon and I can remember quickly hiding them out of sight just before she turned up. I thought I’d just shoved them under the sofa quickly. I looked for them the next day to wrap up and couldn’t find them anywhere. I was annoyed but I’d moved house a couple of weeks before so things were in disarray plus I had wrapped and unwrapped presents everywhere so I assumed I’d find them over Christmas but they never turned up.
With Valentine’s Day looming I thought it would be good to find them before then as a present for V day instead. I ha be turned t he house upside down and they are nowhere to be found. Since Christmas, everything has been unpacked and put away and I’ve kept an eye out for them the whole time. I have looked in the unlikeliest places but they have disappeared through a hole in the matrix, I swear.
Where are they?? I definitely didn’t accidentally (or purposefully) eat them myself and the only other person who lives in my house is DS who is 8 and not keen on chocolate so wouldn’t have eaten them if he’d found then. Even if he was a chocoholic he’s the sort of kid who freaks out if he’s taken one biscuit more than I said he could have and confesses to it with no prompting and much guilty wringing of hands.
