My ex is refusing to bring my son home after his fortnightly access again. I have a court order stating my son is to live with me and he is too have contact with his father every fortnight for the weekend. What can I do to get my son? I have rang the police and they have stated they can't do anything even tho I have a family court order. Any suggestions/advice would be gratefully appreciated.

What would happen if you just went to get him back?

What type of order do you have - is it a child arrangements order

As much as I would like to do that my ex would just refuse to answer the door so it's pointless going to his house as this may cause more distress for my child which I am trying to avoid so need to go down legal routes so this is dealt with in the correct way. Yes it a Child arrangements order that I have. I am going back to the courts tomorrow as it is late now so nothing I can really do. Surely he's broken this court order and I do not get how he can do this and the police won't do anything even with the order in place.
