Just a thought after catching a segment on Storm Ciara. Why do they make the reporter on location stand out in the storm? He's not interviewing anyone, there's nothing specific going on behind him that he needs to show us, he obviously can't hold an umbrella with the wind, so he just has to stand there with rain dripping off his nose while the newsreader chats with him. They've shown clips of the flooding, the sea crashing in, trees blown down etc. Surely they could let him report from indoors!
