The perfect Sunday?

Kind of another 'what are you up to today?' thread Smile

Currently sat at the kitchen table with DP. I have a lovely glass of wine and a giant bag of crisps on the go. Johnnie Walker is on the radio. DD5 is tootling around chattering non stop and the DDogs are snoozing on the sofa.

Boring for some but to me this is bliss. What is everyone else's idea of a perfect Sunday?

My perfect sunday would be stables and a ride first thing, home for poached eggs and ham on toast. A nice long walk with the dog, then a lovely long hot bath, half a bottle of wine and a takeaway.

I usually just end up frazzled, making a full roast and getting that back to school/work/monday feeling. I might book in a perfect for me sunday in a few weeks. Busy the next couple and its half term coming up as well.

Homework which is always really stressful...dc1 wants help but refuses to listen to help. Dc2 is a perfectionist and a procrastinator which is a recipe for disaster. I just can't stand it.

I’ve just woken up from a much needed 3 hour nap. DH has left to go on a week longer stag do abroad. I’ve worked 62 hours this week and we had a very busy day yesterday. I’m 32 weeks pregnant and the nap was pretty blissful!

Kids were with dad today. My BF stayed over and we woke up fairly late, had cuppa in bed, chilled out for a bit and then went to the pub for Sunday roast and a glass of wine. Came back and relaxed, then DC home for dinner. Now they're running about going mad! Almost a perfect Sunday.

Perfect Sunday is getting up just about in time for Church, and church is best when dh is preaching.

Lunch at church then a chilled afternoon in the off season for F1 - dh is a huge fan so from March onwards it depends on when the races are.

We tend to food shop on Sunday and then we always do a Sunday roast at teatime. Me, dh, ds, dd2 and friends. Dd1 has her own place these days and comes for Sunday dinner if she's not working.

My perfect Sunday, would involve not having to go to work on Monday.

My perfect Sunday would involve a lie in, coffee in bed, hot shower, country walk then a Sunday lunch in a proper pub with fire and a lot of red wine, more walking after then home for more wine in front of a film... and no work on Monday!
