I know it's in the Daily Fail but the fees seem accurate, how can it be so cheap?www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7983605/UKs-state-boarding-school-costing-11K-year-open-September-aimed-working-parents.html#commentswww.wymondhamcollege.org/971/boarding-fees

presumably because you are paying boarding fees only, not boarding and tuition as you would in a private school

Yes, dd went to a state school which offered boarding. Fees were just over 10k. The education is free, you’re paying for food and a bedroom and pastoral staff/care.

It’s cheap because it’s a state school not private.

A lot of the state boarding schools are open to non U.K. kids and I assume they make more money from these as they will have to pay fees as not entitled to a free education. So dd had Canadian, Chinese, etc kids in her school....all in the boarding house.
