School refusal

Hello,
I'm not a parent but i am the oldest child in a single parent family with an age gap of ten years so my mum relies on me with helping with my sister. I'm 22 and now live on my own in a different city. My sister is about to turn thirteen and has been straight up refusing to go to school which then stops my mum from being able to go to work. My mum is very worried of losing her brand new contract after recently being made redundant and is also very worried about being fined and sent to court over my sisters absence from school. My mum has tried to ask for help from my sisters school but has received no support at all and is now at her last wits end. My mum has always suffered with depression and with all stress that she has at the moment it's now re triggering and becoming worse. Any suggestions or help on this matter would be greatly appreciated and it's causing a lot of trouble in my family and we have no idea what to do next.
thanks for reading ,
Heather.

Get your mum to ask for a meeting with the head of year/key stage/house.

What support is needed to get her into school? I work with school refuses and appreciate how complex it is.
