6 year old with pot belly

my daughter is 6 year old and has a pot belly. her belly protrudes a bit with a abdominal crease above pubic area. she was contipated a while ago and i gave her prune juice to relive it. she went to the washroom regularly but her stomach still pop outs.

Get her checked. Might be just a little overweight?

Is she overweight? Different people carry weight in different ways, and it's not unusual for kids to be a bit podgy until they grow taller. My brother was really chunky then he hit puberty, grew to almost 7 foot (yep..) and now he's the thinnest thing you've ever seen!

Make sure she eats healthily and gets plenty of exercise, minimise sugary snacks, and I'm sure she will be fine.

Please don't bring this up with her and turn it into an issue though. The last thing you want is for her to think she's fat.

My 8 year old currently has a pot belly, he is eating too much and not active enough in the winter (crazy sport mad in the summer). My 6 year old is still at the stage where he gets podgy and then shoots up in a growth spurt. I'm not worried about either of them. (Other than hiding all the snacks from the 8 year old!)

Worms? Might be worth checking her poos just in case.
