Came across some old threads.

As was said at the time.......... 'Sleep well Zombie, you will be missed and celebrated in equal measure'

I lurked on her threads and miss her. For those of crafty persuasion, I believe the Woolly Hugs folk need squares for her legacy blankets.

I’m proper shit at knitting but have sent some in the past (working on some more) and the Woolly Hugs folks could not be nicer.

Every square is valuable and special, @Armi - because of the love that goes into them.

And if there are people who are interested in the blanket project for Zombie, but don’t knit or crochet, they are always grateful for donations of yarn - I can give more details, if that is appropriate.

I knitted for Zombies Woolly Hug that she had during her chemotherapy and received my own Candy’s Hug in September . It has gone to every chemotherapy treatment with me and gives me such very great joy and love .
If you knit or crochet at all I urge you to follow Armi’s link above . All wonky squares are welcome ,after all those of us who get a blanket are fairly wonky !

This is the link for Candy’s hugs (Candy was Zombie’s name). If you scroll down, the list of the colours for her hugs is there - we use a specific yarn because that way we know all the squares in a blanket will wash and dry, if a blanket is made up of squares from different donors.

As I said yesterday, every square is special and helps make a wonderful blanket. If all you can do is a plain square, don’t worry - these are just as necessary as fancy ones.
