DS napping - is this normal?

My DS 9mo isn't really one for napping during the day. He possibly might have an hour if we're lucky but sometimes it might be less.

However, he fell asleep at 11.45 this morning, woke up for around 5 minutes at 1 and is still asleep.

This sounds odd for him, shall I leave him until he wakes up or is this normal? He is very good at sleeping at night so I don't know if this long nap will change things tonight!

I'd wake him unless you think he's I'll. Otherwise you may have a hell of a time tonight.

@Pipandmum He has been a bit snuffly and had a terrible runny nose this week but other than that he's ok! Seems odd for him to sleep this long during the day when he never does.

Last night we had a bit of a shit night compared to usual. He was up at 2, 5 & 7. He usually sleeps from 7-7.30.

I wouldn't worry to be honest, he is probably catching up on last nights poor sleep. My son is the same age and he does that sometimes if he hasnt slept very well night before, just leave him I would! They say rule of thumb is not to let them nap any later than 4 I think to interrupt his night time sleep

I would probably leave him. He could be teething or coming down with something. As a one off I would just let him sleep, especially as he was up in the night.

I seem to remember at 9 months they should be having up to 3 hours a day. Obviously every baby is different but less than an hour a day for one so young seems unusual to me. I'd let him sleep.
