Uneven ear piercings

DD9 just had her ears pierced - one def lower than the other. You can see that the earring has gone in below the spot.
Waiting for a call back from the jewellers, but is it just a case of waiting for them to heal and then having it repierced later this year? She is going to be so upset.

I’m afraid it might be. I don’t see any other way they can ‘even them up’

Just spoken to the jeweller - he says to take them out tomorrow, there won't be any scar tissue and then she can have them redone in 2 weeks. Has anyone heard this before?

You need advice from a proper body piercer OP, most will pierce children's ears with a parent present from about age 6 and will be far more knowledgeable about healing times/re-piercing etc. My DD(11) had hers done recently and the piercer spent ages making sure they were level before he touched her with a needle. Much less trauma piercing with a needle too, wish they'd ban the guns altogether and definitely in places like jewellers/Claire's etc.

I knew about going to a piercer, but stupidly I agreed to go to a jewellers that 3 of her friends had gone to without having any issues.
Anyway, I've since spoken to a local piercer and they've advised to wait 6 weeks then they'll repierce.
DD seems less upset about it than I expected - I think I'm more traumatised!!

It's taken my DD about 3 years to persuade me to let her have them done and I was more nervous than she was Blush That sounds like sensible advice from the piercer, it will be fine in the end OP don't worry Flowers
