Could this be anxiety?

Posting here for traffic as DH is currently in A&E and I'm trying not to panic!

DH was really unwell earlier this week, dreadful stomach pains, some vomiting, and unable to eat. He was in bed for the best part of 2 days because of the pain, which he said came in waves but was sometimes constant. Saw doctor on Thursday, unsure what it could be but gave him peppermint tablets.
Seemed better yesterday, was up and about more, but he said before he came to bed last night that he felt slightly breathless and his heart felt a bit fast.
He woke at 4am with his heart racing, When I got up at 7, I felt his pulse and it was all over the place, and our blood pressure monitor took a reading of 286/140. (Although I'm not sure how reliable it is, just a wrist one)
I took him to a&e and he's there now waiting for assessment, but I'm wondering (hoping)if it could all be anxiety?
He's been run down for months, caught every cold going and I've noticed him getting snappy a lot quicker than he normally would recently, which for me is always a classic sign that my anxiety is flaring again.

The wrist BP monitors aren’t accurate if the pulse rate is very fast / abnormal. He’s in the right place now to be properly assessed and treated. Hope he gets sorted out soon.

@Emilizz34 thanks for asking, he was out by lunchtime Saturday, diagnosed with atrial fibrillation Blush so I felt a bit bad attributing it all to anxiety!

Had a feeling it was some type of arrhythmia when the wrist bp monitor was showing readings that don’t make sense . Glad he’s being sorted though surprised he wasn’t admitted!
