Just that really. We thought between 40 to 50 but apparently his mates pay that per month to their parents!?
I paid 40 per week as a lodger in 1994…

I paid £200 a month when I moved back home after uni. I was on about £16k a year which may be similar to your DC

None.

but

1. We don't need the money (this bit is very important)
2. DD is sensible with money and saving at least 1/3rd of her pay
3. We have discussed with her budgets for moving out
4. For various reasons we don't want her to just up and live with BF at his parents

Ds2 has just turned 17 and is doing a well paid apprenticeship. He earns about £900 per month. He pays us £100 per month ‘rent’ just to teach him a bit about money really
