Help with cat shit!

My neighbors two cats shit in my garden. I would get a water pistol but I don’t catch them very often, just see them covering it.

One of them yesterday had a massive shit near my hut and I only heard her covering it up. I went to look after I chased it and can see there is now piles of shit where she is covering it up and shitting in the same small area all the time.

Any ideas what I can put down to make her go somewhere else to shit (preferably her owner’s garden!)

Mine refuses to go outside Confused even for a wee
If he's outside in summer he comes barrelling in like a kid "need a wee mama", goes in his litter tray and runs back outside
I'm like "um, thanks?" Grin

Mens wee does work! Really it has for us, especially after eating meat - something to do with a bigger Male carnivorous mammal. Keeps the cats out of our garden, as soon as DH doesn't take a leak outside for a while, the poo returns. I dont think its coincidence

Lemon juice and prickle strips for me now!

Suggested DH went outside for a pee and he just rolled his eyes at me.
Hmm

My DH refused point blank but my DS (he was a teenager at the time so sort of passed as an Adult Male ) was more than happy to pee in a plastic bottle then splosh it outside .

I cannot see Alan Titchmarsh doing this sort of thing Shock

It might be easier just to bite the bullet and get yourself a Cat .

I used to barf at cat shit but my Fur Babies have grain free food they don't smell that bad

I want a cat but DH doesn’t So I think as a punishment he HAS to pee in a container and I will throw it outside.

He just doesn’t know he wants a cat.

Mollypolly2610 · 08/02/2020 14:31

@Fluffycloudland77

That’s very true. We got a kitten 20 years ago who found DH and adopted DH as her dad. DH loved her. She was tiny and just walked into the house and lay on the rug next to him.

But he would never go and get one.

God, I hate when people blithely trot out the old “get your own cat” as a deterrent to neighbouring cats crapping in your garden.
I don’t want a bloody cat. If I did I’d already have one.

Fluffycloudland77 · 08/02/2020 14:39

You’ll have to accidentally adopt one from a rescue after accidentally having a home check & accidentally buying half of Zooplus’s cat accessory department.

If things happen by accident it’s fate. It was meant to be.

I trained my departed Bengal to accidentally knock a lamp over that dh loved and I hated. It took three falls off the console table to finally break but it was an accident because the cat did it.

ClientQueen mine does the same Grin she looks really annoyed at having to stop her fun (glaring down the garden) to come in and have a wee

Putapeonyinyourpocket · 08/02/2020 14:55

My next door neighbor had seven cats! It caused nothing but bad feeling, I use to come home from work to cat shit all down my driveway.
We tried the silent cat alarm, worked for only a small amount of time. Sprinkling pepper I found most effective, then we got a dog and problem solved!
Hope you find something that works.
