I’m not even well endowed in the breasts department ffs.

They are like rocks and they hurt and I am miserable.

It lasts at least 4-5 days a month now (am 43).

I have v little salt; I have reduced caffeine (I cannot endure life without one daily coffee); I take evening primrose oil.

I want a solution for TODAY, to help me get through til 10pm when I can go to bed (mind you, it’s worse at night with no bra on!!!)

I basically know I’m asking for the moon.

But anything??? Anything???

Vitamin b6 supplements.
I was taking (on prescription) 100mg per day until recently. Doctor has recently dropped it down to 20mg per day and it still seems to be doing the trick.

This started getting out of hand for me during perimenopause. Is this a possibility??

Paracetamol and Ibuprufen

I’ve been the same many many months OP. I’ve found for nights... after the agony of just taking my bra off Shock wearing a soft bra like these www.johnlewis.com/john-lewis-partners-anya-padded-seam-free-bra/p3987392?sku=237795953&colour=Deep+Mink&size=m&s_ppc=2dx92700046625838189&tmad=c&tmcampid=2&gclid=Cj0KCQiAsvTxBRDkARIsAH4W_j_SvzZwPev0Xry4h7jSOWPN5SEkUDMouePIQ5ELGjAGdK7tRpUkHDcaApDlEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds really help for night time.
Also I’m aware this is antidotal but since I’ve focused more on healthy eating my periods, pms etc have been much less painful.

Acupuncture as you shouldn’t have painful breasts. But that won’t help you tonight sorry!

Our periods are supposed to be comfortable and not horrificly heavy, clotty or painful.

Unfortunately people tend to just put up with a load of hassle around periods as we are taught that they are The Curse and we all know people who suffer so we kind of accept this as the norm.

People don’t go for acupuncture routinely they do in the east. Probably as we fear the unknown and also this treatment costs money! But it’s really helped me.

Thanks everyone!!

Could be perimenopause I guess... how do you KNOW if you’re in perimenopause?! I’m 43, my PMS can be terrible some months (rage, sleeplessness) but ok in others. Always get the horrendous boobs though, that’s been about the last 2 years.

I eat pretty healthily which I do think helps with some of the other things (rage!) too.

Acupuncture sounds fab; I’ve had it done a few tones for eg sore neck and I love it. Might try a few sessions, it’s pricey though.

The bra looks fab!!!

I am wearing a sports bra today which is helping a bit. Plus I can tell my period is due to arrive any minute now as after 4 days of boob hell the soreness and hardness has quite suddenly faded. Relief!!! For 23 days anyway...

Huge thanks x

I get this for two weeks a month. In fact, it is how I know I have ovulated, the tingling and pain and douboing in size Shock. I have tried EPO, Agnus Castus, magnesium, Vit B, and not one has worked.

Nurofen works but two weeks of constant ibuprofen is expensive, I tried Nurofen gel too which didn't have an effect. I've been told progesterone cream would work but I can't buy it where I live.

So, for today: a hot water bottle (an old fashioned one, the microwavable beaney bags don't get hot enough) and Nurofen plus paracetamol.

I was really struggling with this. Someone suggested a magnesium supplement at bedtime. It’s made a huge difference to my comfort levels. I ran out and I could tell very quickly! It also helps me to sleep.

This sounds exactly like me, nearly 43 and now getting incredibly sore boobs for 2 weeks a month. I am quite large chested as well and even clothes rubbing on them send me through the roof.

I am definitely peri menopause as my periods are coming more often but are very light and only lasting a day or two

No solutions, just wanted to commiserate with you!
