We should be friends! (Lighthearted)

Does anyone else have this? You are acquainted with someone but have an instinctive feeling you should be good friends but just are not? There is a woman on the school run that I just, I don't know, love the look of her. She seems cool and funny and smart. Our kids are not in the same class so we never really have to interact but we always catch each other's eye and smile and say hello how are you... but not much else. But it just feels like she should be a best mate!!

This is not romantic! Just a feeling like, yep, we should hang out!!

Anyone else get this? It's happened me before in the past. You meet someone and just know you should be buddies. Or am I strange??

Yes, I know what you mean. Sometimes it works out!

But then I also feel like this about Jessica Hynes. I've seen her on our high street twice so it is only a matter of time before we are hanging out I'm sure Grin

Yes! I met someone at antenatal classes who was just brilliant, really lovely - we were paired up with her and her husband for some exercise or other and we got on so well and had such a laugh. My DH and hers got on great as well. I have terrible social anxiety, but the next week I steeled myself to ask her about keeping in touch and she wasn't there, and then we couldn't go on the final week and I never saw her again! I didn't have any mum friends when DS was a baby and she would have been perfect :(

Yes, had it last year. I was taking pictures of tge house when a woman walked by and we ended up talking. I invited her for a coffee and now we meet up every 6 weeks or so. I just instantly really liked her and we do get along really well.

Spiderlight sorry that you didn't get to meet up with the other lovely mum :(

DappledThings yes Jessica Hynes looks like just that lovely type of friend!! Hope you start hanging out soon!

Yes me too. Two of my now closest friends (10-20 years) started this way. One I saw at work but not in my dept so basically ended up asking her out by email, slightly embarrassing but ended up great.
