Easter sunshine - destination suggestions!

Would like to get away for 4 or 5 nights over Easter.

Where would you recommend that only takes a short flight, and where the weather will be warm to hot?

Have been looking at Portugal, but the weather is not guaranteed in mid-April :-(

Cyprus? It’s not the shortest of flights but usually pretty decent by April

For sunshine at Easter time I think you'll be restricted southern europe.

Greece, Cyprus, Turkey?

I’m looking at booking a break in April too. I went to Majorca last year and the weather was great. I also visited Portugal a few years ago and the weather was awful every day. I think I’ll wait until the week before as the prices to go to the canary island etc are super expensive and the flight times are long.

We’re looking at Palma as heard good reports at Easter but I do worry it’s not guaranteed and could be a wash out

I've been going to Mallorca at Easter for the last 15 years or so. We've had everything from two weeks of blazing hot sun to freezing rain. We even had to go to Decathlon in Palma and buy zipper fleeces and microfibres towels to use as blankets one year. It's such a beautiful island but Easter sunshine is absolutely not guaranteed!

Oh god perhaps I’ll stop trying to persuade DP to book Palma then

I went to Cyprus one Easter actually and would recommend it although I think I’d like a slightly shorter flight for only a few days. I think for the week we were there there was only one day it was too chilly to sunbathe

Canaries every time, my aunt lives in Palma and we spend some time there, weather very hit and miss before late May

Somewhere like Malaga? There's the beach if the weather is good and city stuff if not. Can also go further afield to Nerja, Granada, Seville, Ronda etc.

We had a brilliant Easter in South of France. Mixed weather but mostly sunny enough to swim

Vegas (not a short flight though).
