Amber alert: possible aurora.

So cool! I doubt we'll see it here (North West coast) but years ago I saw them in Yorkshire on the moors. Very, very bright (green mainly) and clear. Completely unexpected too. Last about 15 minutes.

Well worth going hunting for them if you're anywhere further up North and it's clear.

also moon is very high and bright tonight....got a slight green, but think it is airglow, not aurora

I've just been out and about, very faint green glow looking NW over the sea. Thanks OP :)

The weather where I am always knows when there's a strong aurora and is always cloudy. Glad some of you can see it
