Help me decorate.

I currently have this wallpaper and sofa with a brown carpet and light brown, almost cream walls. I’m so bored with it and the only thing I can change is this paint and the lamps/light shades.

The problem is I’m not sure what colour would work. I thought a dusky pink but unsure if it would just look washed out.

Open to all ideas, except green.

How dark is the carpet? Chocolate brown looks amazing with duck egg blue.
There's some lovely ideas on line which show that strong teal-is blues and blueish lilacs work with brown carpet. (Will try to attach links)

Sugared-almond pink is really in fashion as a wall colour right now. I think that could work, with some candy striped accessories for lampshades etc.

Thanks for the reply. The carpet is almost the same colour as the one in your middle picture.

I like the idea of navy with gold accessories but not sure if navy is too dark.
