Morning after pill after ovulation?

Condom broke last night. Not even split, an actual piece of it fell out of me. Hmm

I think I ovulated 2 or 3 days ago, I had ewcm on either Monday or Tuesday. I want to get the m.a.p this morning but I've now read it doesn't work if you've already ovulated?

I can't be sure if I have actually ovulated, as I haven't had my period back after an abortion I had a few weeks ago, for a pregnancy I got while I was on the pill. Hence thought we were being safe with condoms. I can't believe this could be happening again.

Since I'm not sure if I definitely ovulated I think I should take it just in case, I don't really know why I'm posting, just feel like a fucking idiot.

Talk to the pharmasist they will know what to do. Failing that gum clinic as im sure they can put an emergency coil in or something? Or at least know what to do.

I've got Levonelle. The pharmacist said it can also help to prevent the egg from sticking and I'm well within the timeframe. She said if my period is more than 4/5 days late to do a test

I’d take it just in case, but be aware that it may not be effective if you have ovulated, as you know.

The best option is to have a copper coil inserted but depending where you are that is easier said than done.

Have you thought about other contraception after your termination? Maybe a Mirena, implant or depo injection?

(Disclaimer, though I’m a CASH qualified nurse I don’t know your history so you need to see someone).

Cross post.

Yes you are within the timeframe, but depending where you are in your cycle is important too, but that’s difficult to establish if you haven’t had a period since your TOP.

It’s worth taking, and doing a test 14 days after the unprotected sex. In the meantime have a think about long acting contraception as it will offer more reliability than condoms.

Yes I talked through the long term options with a nurse a few weeks ago and was thinking about the mirena coil, I have PCOS and also reacted badly when I was on the mini pill (crying constantly and very emotional) and she said the mirena has the least amount of hormones out of the hormonal option. I'm due to have a blood test tomorrow at my GP for another reason so was going to make an appointment then.
