I find I waste so much if I do jackets with them as I don't like the skin but if I do Fries then I usually overdo them until they are burnt.
How do you cook yours?

Roasted sweet potatoes are gorgeous. They kind of caramelise themselves and are so yummy. I make DH peel them first.

Chuck em whole into the oven on a tray.
180 for maybe 30 minutes (I always forget to set the timer) until soft.
Peel off the skin et voila!

I LOVE sweet potatoes!

I roast mine, do jackets like you I just eat the centre as I don't like the skins . mashed , make chips in the air fryer they don't overcook if you do them chunky

ironicname · 05/02/2020 20:33

Peel
Chop into chunk
Toss in oil, paprika, oregano and salt
Bake until brown

Squidgoals · 05/02/2020 20:34

Cut them in half lengthways, put them cut side down in oil and roast in a hotish oven for 40-60mins. Serve cut side up sprinkled with salt

Mashed and used to top shepherds pie. Or roasted. Or in slow cooker with lamb and rosemary.

squee123 · 05/02/2020 20:36

roasted. Or in chocolate brownies. Mmmm

Chop into cubes, sprinkle over oil and sumac (lots of sumac) then roast for around 30 mins. Really good with tahini drizzled on top and over some salad leaves with feta and tomato.

I love a wedge. Lots of salt and black pepper.

okiedokieme · 05/02/2020 20:39

Roast, wedges, mash ... I eat the skin

Nigglesmiggle · 05/02/2020 20:41

For speed I just stick them in the microwave and eat them in the skins

40andfeelingit · 05/02/2020 21:28

Chop into chunks with the skin on, microwave with chilli flakes/sliced chilli to taste and a halved lemon for 15 mins. Squeeze the lemon over and roughly mash. From Jamie’s 30 min meals and even better if you add feta!
