BBE - would you?

I’m not a slave to dates on food, and will happily eat bacon/cheese a month or so out of date if it smells ok. I found a few of these at the back of the cupboard. (Apparently a Mumsnet favourite!)BBE March 2019. Would you use this in a lasagne?

Lasagne, or any other recipe!

If the tipped hadn’t popped and when opened the smell was ok then I would use it.

Sure! if the seal is in place and it doesn't smell whacky then it's likely fine.

Yes - I'd probably taste a bit too to be sure. It's unlikely to make you ill, would possibly taste 'wrong', e.g. too acid if best its best.

Thanks everyone. I’m still alive and the lasagne was gorgeous. That now breaks my record for ignoring the BBE date. My longest eat by date defiance was some cheddar cheese 3 months out of date. I survived that too.
