I noticed that the side of my house was wet and water was dripping from the overflow pipe . I went into the loft , lifted the lid that covers the water tank and a piece of balsa wood about 15” x 4” x1” was sitting on top of the ball cock and stopping the water flow from being cut off.
Obviously I removed it and water has stopped dripping from the overflow.
But how on earth did it get there
. The tank was completely covered by the lid and the wood didn’t appear to have been in there too long as only bits of it were soggy.
Any ideas ?
