Asking mn knowledge here. I work for the nhs as a bank member so a locum. My decision for this was so i could collect dd as i decide my hours so works well for my family and the trust gets cover too. Im pregnant again (early days and ive miscarriaged three times last year so not getting over excited). However ive been thinking if this pregnancy lasts the fact im bank does that mean i get any maternity pay.

Sorry I don’t know the answer, however I’m also in the same situation! Was doing some research last night and looks like bank staff are classed as ‘workers’ rather than employees so therefore not entitled to maternity leave however may be able to claim maternity allowance?! I’m confused with it all to be honest!
Congratulations on your pregnancy, I hope it all works out for you this time.
