Does anyone have any ideas/hint/tips?

This isn't something I've done before and a friend has come up with a great idea. Looking to set up a low-cost (or even better, free) website on which we can sell hand-made products.
I have paypal - not sure if my friend does.
I suspect our sales volumes will be low, and we have no money to invest in anything fancy schmanzy.
Just a bog-standard customisable site/platform is what I'm after, but I'm struggling with my searches today and not finding anything specific about costs on things like Square or Weebly.

Bumping. I think the correct term should be e-commerce?

I use Squarespace.

What would you be happy to pay annually for a nice-looking e-shop platform?

No advice but this is also something I need help with! There's just so much out there!

Autumn, at the moment we have next to no budget. I think there are some plug ins for WordPress but I haven't investigated.
I'm fairly good at tweaking and customising and we have someone who can do some artwork...and I can tap someone for a bit of advice on layout.
Just need to find a low cost provider for e-commerce (and probably domain name purchase).
Years ago I had a domain name with 1&1 but it got more and more costly.
I reckon for startup we're looking at around £10-20 p/a which I realise limits our scope.
