Do people actually fall for this?

Posted my bugaboo pram on gumtree yesterday and got this

Told her no thanks and she's telling me how to open up a paypal account as if that's the reason I'm saying no

Sadly, yes many people do fall prey to these things. I obviously can't say one way or another but as they 'if it doubt'.

if it is any consolation I got this the one time I tried gumtree - they were going to send a courier to collect a car! The wording looks quite familiar.

report to Gumtree, for all that will do, and then forget it as the whole site is scam centra.
