I know a ridiculous question. When we moved in, an embarrassing number of years ago, we quickly painted over the flowery wallpaper as a temporary measure and nothing has been done since.
During their teenage years they've covered the walls in posters anyway.
However, they both really are in need. I don't think the woodwork has been painted in 20 years, but both rooms are so full of "stuff" and there's no spare room to move it to.
I just can't face the though and don;t really know where to start. I'd let them do it, but they're not bothered and quite happy to live in squalor. Am I missing something?
The rest of the house is really well maintained, honest!
