What on earth is wrong with me?

Got home from work yesterday tea time exhausted. I had a headache so went to bed not mega early but early enough. Had a crap night...sweaty and a dry horrible mouth ...headache still there.
Got up this morning feeling like I have been out drinking. Still had a headache. Went shopping with DH and I felt wobbly and like I was walking down a tunnel...felt like I wasn't really there. Kept having to sit down - DH said I looked pale and I felt clammy.
Came home and crawled onto the sofa.
Then the nausea came...in waves. I have dry heaved a few times. Couldn't make or eat any tea. Then I had a massive nausea wave...head in bucket but nothing came. I was fainting and really pale.
Then suddenly I felt better...so much better I snaffled some cheese on biscuits DH had 'made' for his tea Hmm
Got a bit of indigestion but nothing like I was feeling before..

What the fuck!!!!? Is it a bug? Is it tiredness? I haven't eaten anything 'dodgy'. And it was less than 24 hrs....
So mumsnetters....any ideas?

My OH gets like this when tired out. He gets headaches, feels sick, drained, dizzy. He sleeps and wakes up loads better.
Could be your body wanting you rto slow down?
But there's some really odd viral bugs about.. Hope you are fine tomorrow

I felt like that Friday before last. So tired I left the bucket next to my bed as I couldn't be arsed to put it away. Which was lucky as the next morning I barely had time to grab it before I was puking my guts up.

lljkk · 01/02/2020 23:21

sounds like a migraine to me, but can't rule out a weird virus..

RightOnTheEdge · 01/02/2020 23:22

I feel like this when I am too tired, maybe it was that.
Sick, dizzy and headachey a bit like car sickness feeling.
I usually start to feel better if I have a lie down and shut my eyes for a bit.

Migraine with Aura

InTheShadowOfTheMushroomCloud · 02/02/2020 09:14

Good morning!
Felling like I have been kicked in the chest but much better than yesterday. Horrible dreams in the night. I have cancelled seeing my baby grandson today as worried if it is a bug...

Pregnancy- alas that boat left a long time ago
Menopause - I am on the other side now.. no periods but still on HRT
Labyrinthitis - I have had this before and it's different
Migraine - hmmm... my headache wasn't the same as my old migraines ( I had them as a young woman) but this has got me wondering.
Tired - I only work very very part time (works out at five days a month) and I had just done two days on the trot. I am a lecturer so brain is worked.

I don't think I will ever find out. Never mind!

Thanks for all your ideas...

You are poorly. I hope you feel better soon.

Foxyloxy1plus1 · 02/02/2020 10:05

I think that migraine type things can change with age. Visual disturbances, not feeling ‘there’ and the nausea can all be part of it.

cuckooken · 02/02/2020 10:12

Definitely look into migraine with aura. The headache thing is a bit of a red herring because you can have migraine with no headache.

longearedbat · 02/02/2020 10:17

Have you had your blood pressure checked recently?

InTheShadowOfTheMushroomCloud · 02/02/2020 13:41

Blood pressure - I am on bp meds for hypertension and I regularly check at home - no changes.

No headache at all today. Feel "weak as a kitten" but managed to shuffle to local shop for milk. Had to lie down afterwards. DH has been "proper poorly" with a bad cold sinus cough thing for 3 weeks now. Not poorly enough to go off sick ( he is a lorry driver so not stuck in office infecting folk) but living on pills and potions.
I am eating soup at the moment - with bread. I get gastritis if I am not careful.

I am a student ( the other side) tomorrow on a really prestigious course paid for by a company I do a lot of work for and I really need to be top of my game...🥺

Fingers crossed and thank you
